This jumper was designed as a Christmas jumper for channel 4’s 2021 series of Kirstie’s handmade Christmas in the UK. As someone who has never owned a Christmas jumper I wanted something with a subtle nod to Christmas but that could be worn year round. A jumper shouldn’t just be for Christmas!
This is so versatile with colours that it doesn’t even need to look festive and it’s also a great knit to use up scrap yarn on the stripes.

Inspired by a pulled Christmas cracker I’ve used a striking chevron stitch to create its jagged hem. The sleeves were inspired by the making of snow balls dipping them in to snow.

M - 36-38”
L - 40-42”
XL - 44-46”
2XL - 48-50”
3XL - 52-54”

Please note 2XL + 3XL haven't been tested, I have thoroughly checked these sizes, but yarn recommendations is an estimation. If you make either of these sizes I would be really grateful if you could let me know if the recommendation was correct.

The pattern is super easy to read. I started knitting in October 2022 (this is now December 2022) and this was my second project. I was a bit scared doing the zig zag pattern, but everything was very well explained and had so many useful videos to look at for reference. I love her designs and will be coming back to her shop for another one for my next project!

Sustainability

Everything we buy has some impact on the planet. I create knitwear whilst trying to minimise the environmental impact by sourcing wool from RWS certified farms and using natural/recycled or biodegradable fibres.

Honesty & Community

Knitting can have such a positive effect on your mental health. Here we share wins, struggles, and support each other so no one feels alone. The internet can feel fake - I promise to be real about my highs, lows, and everything in between.
